FAQs

What services do you offer?

1

Ivy Loyd Bridal offers custom wedding attire designed from the ground up, including gowns, veils, and accessories. The studio also provides detailed alterations, heirloom redesigns, and fit refinement for existing bridal garments. Every service is guided by careful craftsmanship, close collaboration, and an emphasis on fit, movement, and individuality.

What is the process of having an existing gown redesigned?

2

The redesign process begins with a consultation to assess the existing gown, discuss what feels right to preserve, and identify what can be reimagined. Together, we explore inspiration, proportions, and materials, allowing the original garment to inform the direction of the new design. Through a series of fittings, the gown is carefully reshaped using contemporary methods and time-honored craftsmanship, resulting in a piece that respects its history while feeling refreshed, personal, and meant to be worn.

What is the process of having a custom gown/veil made?

3

The custom process begins with a consultation to explore inspiration, review fabrics, and define the overall direction of the design. From there, the garment is brought to life through a minimum of three fittings, allowing the shape and details to evolve directly on the body. Using modern techniques alongside classic elements, each piece is refined for fit, movement, and longevity, resulting in a look that feels both timeless and personal.

When should I begin the custom or redesign process before my event?

4

Custom bridal garments typically require 8–12 weeks from the initial consultation to completion. Gown redesigns generally take 4–6 weeks, depending on the scope of changes and materials required for the project. Final timelines are confirmed during the consultation once the design direction and material availability are established. Any order requiring a rush will be subject to an additional 25% fee.

What does pricing look like?

5

Pricing is based on the unique details of each garment, including design, materials, and scope of work. A $100 consultation fee is required and will be credited toward the total cost if you choose to move forward with an order. Once the design is finalized, a 30% deposit secures your place in the schedule, with the remaining 70% due when the garment is finished.
